The Mission of the Mountain Métis Council is to enhance the cultural, social and economic well being of our community. We believe that each member of our community is valued. Special regard is held toward our Métis youth and elders and in overcoming cultural barriers that limit advancement of our people. A significant amount of time and effort has been provided by the Council to develop and manage special programs and events that strengthen cultural continuity.

Our mandate is to establish partnerships with government agencies and industry while preserving and protecting our traditional lands.
