Hide-A-Way Camp
Come experience the living history of Alberta’s rugged frontier through the Hide A Way Camp with Alberta Rockies Adventures. Located adjacent to Pierre Gray Lakes Recreation Area, 34 km south of Grande Cache on Highway 40 (or 110 km north of Hinton), Hide A Way Camp is a group camp facility with cabins and a main building.
Hide A Way has a large building for group meals and activities. The main lodge is fully equipped with two stoves and two refrigerators, flush toilets and shower facilities. Six electrically heated cabins sleep up to 6 adults and 2 children each. The lodge has a large eating area, as well as an outdoor barbecue area, making it easier to cater events.
Hide A Way has exceptional recreational opportunities, including canoeing and fishing on any of the five crystal clear lakes that are stocked with eastern brook and rainbow trout. The area is exceptional for hiking, biking, and cross-country skiing on a well developed and maintained network of trails. There are many wilderness trails for those that wish to take a stroll and enjoy the neighboring Pierre Grey Lakes and the local history of our area.
Host your wedding at Grande Cache’s Hide A Way, which offers a quaint rustic family friendly environment. The outdoor area is surrounded by heated cabins along with ample RV spaces, allowing guests to stay right on the premises.
